Description: BioLegend’s new antibody against human amyloid beta (Aβ), clone 3A1, is an excellent antibody for detection of pathologic forms of Aβ in the form of protein aggregates and amyloid plaques. This poster video demonstrates unique advantages of clone 3A1 over other gold standard antibodies for Aβ detection such as clones 6E10 , 4G8 and M3.2. This clone is a great research tool for neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease in that it shows preference for aggregated Aβ and demonstrates no cross-reactivity with amyloid precursor protein. Clone 3A1 has utility in western blot, immunohistochemistry and ELISA applications.
