Description

Lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 or LFA-1 is a heterodimer composed of two members of the integrin family, αL (CD11a) and β2 (CD18).  LFA-1 is expressed primarily on lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages, and granulocytes.  It is involved in cell adhesion and costimulation processes. The ligands for LFA-1 are ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).

Application

FC - Quality tested

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is =1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

* PerCP/Cyanine5.5 has a maximum absorption of 482 nm and a maximum emission of 690 nm.

Application Notes

This clone is reported to have some effect on increasing LFA-1-mediated adhesion and does not block LFA-1 binding1.
