Western blot analysis of 15µg cell lysates from human HeLa, U87-MG, Daudi, A549, Raw264.7 (Mouse) and UMR106 (Rat) cells. Samples were resolved by electrophoresis (4-12% Bis-Tris gel), transferred to nitrocellulose, probed with 1 µg/mL anti-ATF1 antibody, clone W16033B, followed by incubation with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labeled goat anti-rat secondary antibody (Cat. No. 405405, 1:3000 dilution). Direct-Blot™ HRP anti-GAPDH (Cat. No. 607904, 1:10000 dilution) was used as a loading control (Cat. No. 664804, 1:25000 dilution). Ponceau S staining was used as a loading control. Western-Ready™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat. No. 426303) was used for developing.

Description

ATF1 is a transcription factor regulated by multiple signaling pathways. For example, ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK could phosphorylate and activate ATF1. Activated ATF1  could then regulate downstream targets to mediate cell growth and proliferation. Chimeric proteins of ATF1 fused with FUS or EWSR1 have been discovered in angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma and clear cell sarcoma.
