BRCA1 associated protein (BRAP) is a cytosolic protein that negatively regulates MAP kinase activation by inhibiting the formation of the Raf/MEK complex. BRAP also inhibits nuclear translocation and promotes the retention of several proteins, including BRCA1, in the cytoplasm by binding to their nuclear localization signal sequence.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.5 - 2.0 µg/mL. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, a concentration range of 2.0 - 10 µg/mL is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
