Description

CCRL2 (C-C chemokine receptor-like 2) is also known as Lipopolysaccharide-inducible C-C chemokine receptor (L-CCR/Lccr). CCRL2 is a chemokine receptor-like, 7-transmembrane protein that can bind CCL19 or chemerin/RARRES2. Mouse CCRL2 is expressed by several leukocytes, including dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and microglia and is rapidly upregulated following stimulation with proinflammatory stimuli, such as LPS and TNF-α. CCRL2 plays various roles in regulating chemokine activities, e.g., by binding and internalizing excess local levels of the CCL19/MIP-3β chemokine. Alternatively, endothelial cell-expressed CCRL2 can bind & present the chemerin/RARRES2 chemoattractant to lymphoid cells that express the functional signaling receptor, CMKLR1, and promote their adhesion.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Antigen Details

Structure
C-C chemokine receptor-like 2 (CCRL2) is a non-signaling seventransmembrane domain (7-TMD) receptor related to the atypical chemokine receptor (ACKR) family.
Distribution

Expressed in many leukocytes, including dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, mast cells, microglia & astrocytes

Function
CC-chemokine receptor-like 2 (CCRL2) binds leukocyte chemoattractant chemerin and can regulate local levels of the attractant, but does not itself support cell migration.
Interaction
Macrophages, Dendritic Cells, Mast Cells
Ligand/Receptor
CCL19 and chemerin/RARRES2 bind to CCRL2
Molecular Family
Cytokine/Chemokine Receptors
