Description

CD44v5, also known as CD44 isoform 5, is a CD44 isoform containing exon10. CD44 is an adhesion molecule involved with multiple functions, including lymphocyte activation, cell-matrix interactions particularly hyaluronic acid, and as a marker of effector memory T-Cells. CD44v5 may be an indicator for tumor presence and progression in certain cancers, such as colon, thymus, breast, and prostate.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.25 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
