Recombinant mouse IL-1β (Cat. No. 575102) (black circles) induces proliferation on D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. LEAF™ purified anti-mouse IL-1β antibody (Poly5158) (purple squares) neutralizes the cell proliferation induced by recombinant mouse IL-1β (Cat. No. 575102) at 0.05 ng/mL on D10.G4.1 cells in a dose-dependent manner whereas the GoInVivo™ purified goat IgG isotype ctrl antibody (gray triangles) does not have the effect. ND50 range: 2.0 - 10 µg/mL.

IL-1 refers to two proteins, IL-1α and IL-1β which are the products of distinct genes, but which are recognized by the same cell surface receptors. IL-1β is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses including the activation of B and T cells. The Poly5158 antibody reacts with the precursor and mature secreted forms of mouse IL-1β.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by neutralization of proliferation induced by recombinant mouse IL-1β (Cat. No. 575102) at 0.05 ng/mL on D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. ND50 range: 2.0 - 10 µg/mL. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
