Description

CD369 (Dectin-1), also known as CLEC7A, is a 43 kD type II transmembrane protein.  The extracellular portion of Dectin-1 contains one C-type lectin domain, and its cytoplasmic tail has one immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM). Dectin-1 binds β-1,3-linked and β-1,6-glucans (abundant in the cell wall of fungi and yeast), mediates phagocytosis, and induces cytokine production and oxidative burst. It is also involved in TLR2-mediated NF-kB activation. Dectin-1 is expressed by macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic, and Langerhans cells.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume.  It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
