Description

MRP1 is a 190 kD integral membrane phosphoglycoprotein. It is a member of the human ATP-binding cassette transporter multidrug resistance protein1 (MRP1), encoded by ABCC1. MRP1 is expressed in most normal tissues, with higher levels in the testes, lung, skin, small intestine, colon, kidney, placenta, peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and skeletal muscle. ABCC1 encodes plasma membrane proteins that have important physiological transport functions and mediate a variety of xenobiotics against their concentration gradients. MRP1 plays an important role in the extrusion of drugs from the cell and their over expression can be a cause of failure of anticancer and antimicrobial chemotherapy.

Product Details

Verified Reactivity
Human
Antibody Type
Monoclonal
Host Species
Mouse
Immunogen
QCRL-1 was raised against membranes prepared from the human small cell lung cancer cell line, H69AR, which highly over expresses MRP1.
Formulation
Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Preparation
The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Concentration
0.5 mg/ml
Storage & Handling
The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C.
Application

ICFC - Quality tested

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by intracellular flow cytometry using our True-Nuclear™ Transcription Factor Staining Protocol.

Application Notes

QCRL-1 detects a linear epitope and has been mapped to aa 918-924. It has been reported that QCRL-1 does not inhibit MRP1 transport activity. QCRL-1, QCRL-2, QCRL-3, and QCRL-4 each bind distinct non-overlapping epitopes.

NOTE: For flow cytometric staining with this clone, True-Nuclear™ Transcription Factor Buffer Set (Cat. No. 424401) offers improved staining and is highly recommended.
