C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes were stimulated with ConA + IL-2 for three days and stained with Ultra-LEAF™ Purified ICOS (clone QA17A11, filled histogram) or purified recombinant human IgG4, κ (clone QA16A15, open histogram) followed by anti-human IgG-PE. -
Lewis rat splenocytes were stimulated with ConA + IL-2 for three days and stained with Ultra-LEAF™ Purified ICOS (clone QA17A11, filled histogram) or purified recombinant human IgG4, κ (clone QA16A15, open histogram) followed by anti-human IgG-PE.

CD278, also know as ICOS, is a type I transmembrane protein, member of the CD28/CTLA-4 family, present in the cell surface as an homodimer of 47-57 kD. ICOS is expressed in activated T cells where it has a pivotal role in T cell activation, proliferation and Th1/Th2 differentiation and the antibody response; its ligand is CD275.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
