MojoSort on Columns™ is BioLegend’s portfolio of reagents and ancillary products which are optimized for column-based magnetic separation. Our cell separation columns contain an iron sphere matrix which generate a strong magnetic field when placed on BioLegend’s Multistand (Cat. No. 480177) and Column Separator (Cat. No. 480179). The columns are intended for magnetic separation of cells labeled with MojoSort on Columns™ reagents. A complete list of optimized reagents for use on the columns can be found here . The MojoSort on Columns™ - Large Columns can be used for positive or negative selection of MojoSort kits. For positive selection, the magnetically labeled cells are retained in the column matrix and then eluted by removing the column from the magnetic Column Separator (Cat. No. 480179). For negative selection, the untouched cells flow through the column matrix and are collected in a tube while the column containing the labeled cells is magnetized to the separator.
These columns have been extensively tested for compatibility with 3rd party column-based cell separation systems (magnetic separators and column stands). Please contact BioLegend Technical Service for more guidance on compatibility with 3rd party column-based systems.

The MojoSort on Columns™ - Large Columns are designed for the gentle isolation of cells labeled with magnetic beads using our column-optimized reagents/kits such as the MojoSort on Columns™ - Human CD3 T Cell Isolation Kit (Cat. No. 480194). These columns have also been tested with 3rd party magnetic separation beads/kits and magnetic column separators. Optimization and titration of reagents may be required by the end user. Please contact BioLegend Technical Service for more product-specific information and guidance.
These columns are compatible with BioLegend’s Multistand (Cat. No. 480177), Column Separator (Cat. No. 480179) and MojoSort™ Buffer (Cat. No. 480017). Our MojoSort on Columns™ Reagents are designed for use on the columns without the need to optimize by titration or pre-dilution of beads. A complete list of MojoSort on Columns™ reagents and kits for use on the columns can be found here . The columns are designed for manual separation of up to 1×108 magnetically labeled cells in 2×109 total cells for positive and negative selection. Maximum volume per columns is 8 mL (void volume is 400 µL).
Note: Column cell capacity is dependent on cell-type and size.
