Whole cell extracts (15 µg total protein) from the indicated cells were resolved by 4-12% Bis-Tris gel electrophoresis, transferred to a PVDF membrane, and probed with 1.0 µg/mL purified anti-ICAM-2 (clone Poly5440) overnight at 4°C. Description

Intracellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM2) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates cell-cell adhesions. Specifically, ICAM2 binds to LFA-1, a member of the integrin family primarily expressed by lymphocytes. ICAM2 expression regulates the migration of leukocytes and neutrophils via cell-cell interactions and plays an important role in their development and immune response. Additionally, ICAM2 controls the adhesion of developing sperm in the testis and is important for proper spermatogenesis.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.25 - 1.0 µg/mL. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

This product is not suitable for IHC-P. 

This product does not cross-react with human ICAM-1 in Western Blot.
