Avi-tag is a 15 amino acid sequence, and the minimal acceptor peptide of a larger protein domain that serves as a substrate for the biotin ligase BirA from E. coli. Although one of the major advantages of Avi-tag fusion proteins is a controlled biotinylation in this domain, Avi-tag is also a useful tool in cell and molecular biology.

ICC (µg size) - Quality tested - Recommended Usage
-
Each lot of the test-sized antibody is quality control tested by intracellular flow cytometry using our Cyto-Fast™ Fix/Perm Buffer Set. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per 106 cells in 100 µL volume. It is highly recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Each lot of the µg-sized antibody is quality control tested by immunocytochemistry. For immunocytochemistry using the ug size, a concentration range of 1.25 - 5.0 μg/mL is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
* Alexa Fluor® 647 has a maximum emission of 668 nm when it is excited at 633 nm / 635 nm.
