IgG is a monomeric immunoglobulin composed of two identical heavy chains and two identical light chains linked together by inter-chain disulfide bonds. There are four IgG subclasses (IgG1, IgG2a/IgG2c (strain specific), IgG2b, and IgG3) in mouse. They differ in the size of the hinge region and the number and arrangements of the interchain disulfide bonds linking their heavy chains. Of the 5 immunoglobulin isotypes, IgG is most abundant in mammalian serum. IgG is synthesized and secreted by plasma B cells and is involved in the secondary immune response. IgG is generally participated in response to various antigens such as DNA vaccines and protection against pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. The measurement of IgG can be a diagnostic tool for certain conditions such as autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal conditions or immunoglobulin-deficiency disorders.
BioLegend’s ELISA MAX™ Deluxe Set Mouse Total IgG contains the components necessary for the accurate quantification of natural and recombinant mouse total IgG. The set is designed for cost-effective and accurate quantification of mouse total IgG in serum and plasma. BioLegend’s ELISA MAX™ Deluxe Sets Mouse Total IgG are sensitive, accurate, and robust.
