    C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes were stained with purified CD19 (clone 6D5) followed by anti-rat IgG2a (clone MRG2a-83) Alexa Fluor® 647 .

    C57BL/6 mouse frozen spleen section was fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 5% FBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Then the section was stained with 10 µg/ml of CD8a (clone 53-6.7) purified and 10 µg/ml of CD20 (clone SA275A11) Brilliant Violet 421™ (blue) overnight at 4°C, followed by 2.5 µg/ml of anti-rat IgG2a (Clone MRG2a-83) Alexa Fluor® 647 (red) for 2 hours at room temperature. The image was captured by 10X objective.

Description

The MRG2a-83 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat immunoglobulin G2a (IgG2a) in all tested rat strains (Lou, Lou/Ws1/M, Lewis, Wistar, DA, Sprague-Dawley). It does not react with other isotypes. The MRG2a-83 monoclonal antibody may be used as primary or secondary reagent for ELISA or immunofluorescent analysis.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.25 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, a concentration range of 2.5 - 5.0 µg/ml is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

* Alexa Fluor® 647 has a maximum emission of 668 nm when it is excited at 633 nm / 635 nm.
