CD73 (cluster of differentiation 73), also known as ecto-5’-nucleotidase (e5NT), is a membrane-bound glycoprotein and ectoenzyme. CD73 catalyzes the hydrolysis of AMP generated by CD39 to adenosine to activate adenosine signaling. This role makes CD73 crucial to the regulation of purinergic signaling and immune homeostasis and response. CD73 also serves a variety of physiological functions, including lymphocyte binding, epithelial ion transport, ischemic preconditioning, tissue-barrier function, T cell activation, and tissue homeostasis. Overexpressed in several cancers and implicated in tumor progression, metastasis, and the impairment of anti-tumor immune response via adenosine receptor (AR) signaling, CD73 is a target of interest in cancer therapy. It is also a potential immunotherapy target for the treatment of pain, inflammation, and hypoxia.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.25 - 1.0 µg/mL. For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 1.25 - 5.0 μg/mL is recommended. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.25 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
- Application Notes
-
This clone is not mouse or rat reactive.
This clone is not suitable for use in immunohistochemistry.
For use in ICC, we recommend fixation with ice-cold methanol or fixation with PFA followed by permeabilization with ice-cold methanol. - RRID
