Siglec-15, also known as Siglec-I and CD33L3, is a member of the Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin family and is a type I single pass transmembrane protein. Siglec-15 is expressed by a subset of myeloid cells, osteoclasts, and can be upregulated by certain cancers. Siglec-15 plays an important role in osteoclastogenesis and bone remodeling during normal development and in bone absorption in arthritis. Furthermore, Siglec-15 suppresses antigen-specific T cell responses and is therefore considered to be an immune suppressor and potential target for normalization cancer immunotherapy.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
