O92A4_Pure_Tollip_Antibody_1_082718
Western blot of purified anti-Tollip antibody (clone O9I2A4). Lane 1: Molecular weight marker; Lane 2: 20 µg of human brain lysate. The blot was incubated with 1 µg/mL of the primary antibody overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with HRP-labeled goat anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405306). Enhanced chemiluminescence was used as the detection system.

Description

Tollip, also known as Toll interacting protein, is a ubiquitin-binding protein and an inhibitory adaptor protein involved  in IL-1 and Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway.  Alterations in Tollip gene expression levels has been linked to  tuberculosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, suggesting a role for Tollip in innate immune system. Tollip has also been reported to mediate autophagic clearance of poly-ubiquitinated proteins.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 1.0 - 5.0 µg per ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.

Application Notes

This clone is highly specific to human Tollip. It does not cross react with murine Tollip.
