Western blot of purified anti-HSPA1L antibody (clone BL28548). Lane 1: Molecular weight marker; Lane 2: 20 µg of human brain lysate; Lane 3: 20 µg of mouse brain lysate; Lane 4: 20 µg of rat brain lysate. The blot was incubated with 0.5 µg/mL of the primary antibody overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with HRP-labeled goat anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405306). Enhanced chemiluminescence was used as the detection system.

HSPA1L is a chaperone protein belonging to the heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) family. HSPA1L participates in multiple biological processes, such as apoptosis, cell growth and differentiation, by facilitating the folding of newly-translated proteins and the degradation of misfolded proteins. Overexpression of HSPA1L mitigates symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s Diseases, and Parkinson’s diseases, suggesting that HSPA1L has the potential to serve as a diagnostic/prognostic biomarker for these disorders.
