OSCAR_PURE_Cytokeratin_Antibody_IHC-P_060916
IHC staining of anti-Cytokeratin (clone OSCAR) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human bladdar tissue. Following antigen retrieval using BioLegend's Sodium Citrate Retrieval, the tissue was incubated with the primary antibody at 1 µg/ml for 20 minutes at room temperature. BioLegend's Ultra Streptavidin (USA) HRP Detection Kit (Multi-Species) was used for detection followed by hematoxylin.

Description

This antibody has been shown to detect cytokeratins 7, 8, 18, and 19 and may detect other keratins as well. It does not exhibit cross-reactivity with non-epithelial cells or tissues such as glial and other cells in the brain and the central nervous system. This distinguishes it from the pan cytokerain antibodies (clones AE-1 and AE-3). In normal tissues, it does not stain the superficial layers of the epidermis which suggests it does not detect keratin 1 and keratin 10.
