A17050E_Pure_Dopamine-Receptor-D1_Antibody_1_110818
Western blot of purified anti-Dopamine Receptor D1 antibody (clone A17050E). Lane 1: Molecular weight marker; Lane 2: 40 µg of mouse brain lysate; Lane 3: 40 µg of rat brain lysate. The blot was incubated with 10 µg/mL of the primary antibody overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with HRP-labeled goat anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405306). Enhanced chemiluminescence was used as the detection system.

Description

The D1 subtype of the dopamine receptor (DRD1) is a Gs/a-protein coupled receptor mainly expressed in the caudate putamen of the central nervous system. Upon binding to its ligand, DRD1 indirectly activates cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase and regulates neuronal development. Two transcript variants, DRD1a and DRD1b exist in vivo. DRD1 has been discovered to modulate DRD2-mediated signaling pathway. DRD1 and DRD2 also form heterodimers via C-terminal regions, which has been reported to be involved in phospholipase C and CaMKII activation, and BDNF production.
