Western blot of Purified anti-mGluR1 antibody (clone N75/3). Lane 1, 5: Molecular weight marker; Lane 2, 6: 40µg of human brain lysate; Lane 3, 7: 20µg of mouse brain lysate; Lane 4, 8: 20 µg of rat brain lysate. The blots were incubated with 5 µg/mL of the primary antibody or mouse IgG1 isotype control overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with HRP-labeled goat anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405306). Enhanced chemiluminescence was used as the detection system.

Description

Glutamate Metabotropic Receptor 1, also known as GRM1, is a G protein-coupled receptor that belongs to the group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptor family (mGluR1). GRM1 is an excitatory neurotransmitter receptor involved in hippocampal long-term potentiation and cerebellar long-term depression as demonstrated in an in vivo mouse knockout model of GRM1.These animals also display impaired motor function despite normal brain structure and anatomy compared to their wild type littermates.
