Vα11 T cell receptor (TCR Vα11) is a variant of TCR α chain and, along with TCR β chain, forms the TCR heterodimer. In association with the CD3 complex, TCR α/β is responsible for antigen recognition through the interaction with MHC-peptide complex to initiate the T cell-mediated immune responses. The RR8-1 antibody is specific for b and d haplotypes of TCR Vα11.1 and Vα11.2, but not for Vα11.3. It does not react with a and c haplotypes of TCR Vα11.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤0.06 µg per million cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
